Metal pipe specification table metal pipe classification and application

Performance comparison of various metal pipes and best use occasions

First, steel pipe

(1) Seamless steel pipe.

1. In addition to general seamless steel pipes, there are special seamless steel pipes, mainly including seamless steel pipes for boilers, high-pressure seamless steel pipes for boilers, seamless steel pipes for geological drilling, steel pipes for petroleum cracking, and stainless steel-resistant seamless steel pipes. .

2. High-pressure seamless steel tubes for boilers are made of high-quality carbon steel and alloy steel. The quality is better than that of general seamless steel tubes for boilers. It can withstand high pressure and high pressure. It is used to manufacture boiler equipment and high-pressure ultra-high pressure pipelines for transportation. Medium such as high temperature, high pressure steam, water or high temperature and high pressure hydrogen containing medium.

3. Seamless steel pipes for geological drilling are made of special steel grades D240, D250, D255...D295.

4. Seamless steel pipes for petroleum cracking are generally made of alloy structural steel.

5. Stainless acid-resistant steel seamless steel pipe is made of alloy structural steel. It is mainly used for anti-corrosion parts of chemical, petroleum and mechanical pipelines. It is used to transport strong corrosive medium, low temperature or high temperature medium and high purity. Other media.

(2) Welded steel pipe. Welded steel pipes are divided into black iron pipes and galvanized pipes (white iron pipes). According to the shape of the weld, it can be divided into straight seam steel pipe, spiral seam steel pipe and double-layer coil welded steel pipe; according to its use, it can be divided into water and gas transmission steel pipe; thin wall pipe and thick pipe according to wall thickness.

1. Straight seam electric welded steel pipe is mainly used for conveying low pressure fluid such as water, heating and gas, and making structural parts.

2. Spiral seam steel pipe. Single-sided spiral seam welded pipes are used for general purposes such as conveying water, and double-sided spiral welded pipes are used for special purposes such as oil and natural gas.

(3) Alloy steel pipe. Alloy steel pipes are used in various furnace engineering, boiler heat-resistant pipes and superheater pipes. Alloy steel has high strength, and alloy steel pipe can achieve steel saving under the same conditions. However, the welding of alloy steel pipes has special technical requirements, and heat treatment is applied to the welded joints after welding.

Second, cast iron pipe

The connection form of cast iron pipe is divided into two types: socket type and flange type.

Third, non-ferrous metal pipe

(l) Lead and lead alloy tubes. The lead pipe has strong corrosion resistance. Lead pipes should not be used under pressure. The mechanical properties of lead pipes are not high, but they are heavy and are the heaviest of metal pipes.

(2) Copper and copper alloys. The copper tube has good thermal conductivity and is suitable for working temperature below 250 °C. It is mostly used in the manufacture of heat exchangers, compressor oil pipelines, low temperature pipelines, self-control instruments, and heat preservation heating pipes and oxygen pipes.

(3) Aluminum and aluminum alloy tubes. The aluminum tube is characterized by light weight and no rust, but has poor mechanical strength and cannot withstand high pressure. It is used to transport concentrated nitric acid, acetic acid, fatty acid, hydrogen peroxide and other liquids and hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide gas. It is not resistant to alkali and chloride ion-containing compounds such as saline and hydrochloric acid.

(4) Titanium and titanium alloy tubes. Titanium tubes are characterized by light weight, high strength, high corrosion resistance and low temperature resistance, and are often used in process parts where other tubes are not suitable.

Fourth, metal wire

The metal wire mainly refers to the low-carbon steel hot-rolled disk strip, and there are electric pad strips and high-quality wire rods in terms of varieties.

5. Other metal materials

(1) Steel bars for reinforced concrete structures.

(2) Rail steel.

1, heavy rail. A rail with a weight of more than 24 kg per meter is called a heavy rail. According to the use of heavy rails, it is divided into two types: general heavy rail and crane rail. The general heavy rail is mainly used for railway rails, and the lifting rails are mainly used for crane rails.

2, light rail. A rail with a weight of less than 24 kg per meter is called a light rail. Mainly used for urban and mining transportation.

Shower rod, Shower Reinforcement Bar also call shower glass support bar or glass panel bracing bar, it mounts directly to the wall or ceiling to secure vertical fixed glass panels at multiple angles.

A great solution for glass panel needing to be secured to an adjacent wall for stability but that wall is not at 90° to the fixed panel or glass-to-ceiling application is not a standard angle.

Specification

1. Material: Brass Head/ Mount+ Stainless Steel Bar

2. Surface: Chrome Polished Finish

3. Suitable for 6-12mm glass

4. NO glass cut-out / drilling needed

5. Length: 300-500mm, accept customize length. More flexible: adjustable length or cut-to-short  to customize fit for your bathroom.

6. Installation: Shower Screen Support Bar assembled without notch or drilling hole in the glass (thru-glass supply bar also available). Holds the glass panel in place with an adjustable clip tightened by a plastic tipped screw.

7. 45°, 90° or Multi-Angle fixing option; Wall-to-Glass, Ceiling-to-Glass or Glass-to-Glass
