Steel properties: HPM38 is a 13-series molybdenum-containing stainless steel that has been specially produced by dissolving. Therefore, it is most suitable for plastic molds with high hardness and high requirements for corrosion-resistant mirrors. Moreover, it is extremely heat-strain deformed, so it is also suitable for heat treatment.
In addition, the etchability is good and the maintenance of the mold is very favorable.
Mirror processing is very good.
Has better corrosion resistance than SUS420J2 and does not require chromium.
Heat treatment distortion is small and it is best suited for precision molds.
It is pre-hardened at the time of delivery and can therefore be used immediately.
