This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics.


It is suitable for high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics. The products are used for diffusion tubes, carriers and arc furnaces for polycrystalline silicon and monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic production.

Appearance : High-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics should be white particles with a certain transparency, no color.


Particle size : The particle size of high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics should be in the range of 70-350 μm, and the cumulative mass fraction in the particle size range should be greater than or equal to 90%. The cumulative mass fraction having a particle size of less than 100 μm or greater than 300 μm should be less than 1%.

Silica content : The silica content in high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics should be greater than or equal to 99.99%, and the ignition loss should be less than or equal to 0.01%.

 

Content of impurity elements : The total content of impurity elements in high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaics should be less than or equal to 25μg/g, and the sum of potassium, lithium and sodium should be less than 2.5μg/g. The content of each impurity element should meet the following requirements:
