Nanhai Aluminum Profiles will cease production by the end of June next year

The reporter learned from the District Environmental Protection Bureau that Nanhai District has carried out the rectification campaign on atmospheric pollution in the aluminum profile industry this year. The city has included 157 companies in the scope of rectification, including 94 in the South China Sea. According to regulations, these enterprises need to complete clean energy transformation by the end of June next year, otherwise they will be shut down. At present, 51 have been completed in the South China Sea and 75 have been completed by the end of October.

The aluminum profile industry is one of the important traditional industries in the Nanhai District. There is a large amount of pollutants discharged and the image of environmental protection needs to be improved. In 2014, according to the requirements of Foshan City's 2014 Plan for Comprehensive Air Pollution Control in the Aluminum Industry, the EPA of the Nanhai District carried out a comprehensive rectification of the 161 aluminum profile companies that were included in the rectification. After eliminating 30 companies that have been verified as not belonging to aluminum extrusion companies, 37 enterprises have been shut down in Nanhai District, and the remaining 94 companies have basically completed rectification tasks, which has promoted the upgrading of environmental protection in the industry.

In April this year, Foshan issued the "Foshan City Aluminum Industry Air Pollution Deepening Work Plan (2016-2017)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Project"). A total of 157 aluminum profile enterprises in the city have been included in the scope of renovation, including 94 in Nanhai District. Occupy 60% of the city's mission. The remediation task should highlight three key points, that is, to highlight the entire process to change the gas, prominent ash dust collection and treatment, highlight the separate collection and treatment of acid-base fog.

After the “Program” was issued, the Nanhai District Environmental Protection Bureau carried out a new round of deepening and rectification work on 94 aluminum profile companies in the region. By the end of June this year, 51 enterprises had basically completed the task of rectification. According to requirements, before the end of October this year, 80% (ie 75) companies in the South China Sea area will be included in the scope of remediation to complete clean energy alternatives for their fuel equipment. Reverberatory furnaces and other equipment must be cleaned with electricity, natural gas, and liquefied gas. Energy is fuel.

“Using clean energy to significantly reduce the production of sulfur dioxide and other pollutants will be beneficial to the atmospheric environment of the South China Sea. For enterprises, pollution costs will also be reduced, sewage charges will be reduced, and the risk of excessive emissions will be reduced.” Jianyu Hong, the person in charge of the Supervision Bureau of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Nanhai District, said that the Nanhai District Government has attached great importance to this work and recently held two special meetings on the deepening of air pollution prevention of aluminum profiles to discuss feasible methods for the transformation of aluminum profiles for clean energy. In order to vigorously promote the clean energy transformation of aluminum materials enterprises in Nanhai District, Foshan Nanhai Gas Development Co., Ltd. also reduced gas prices for enterprises.

Jian Yuhong urged that the aluminum profile enterprises that have included the scope of rectification should complete the renovation as soon as possible, and that all those that have not completed the clean energy transformation by the end of June next year will be suspended.
