The "Opinions" pointed out that since the reform and opening up, China's tourism industry has developed rapidly. Strengthening the food safety supervision of catering services in tourist destinations is crucial to safeguarding tourists' diet and health. The food safety supervision departments and tourism administration departments at all levels of food and beverage services must fully understand the importance of food safety services for catering services in tourist areas, strengthen measures, strictly manage and continuously improve the level of food safety and security of food and beverage services in tourist areas.

The Opinions require that food safety supervision departments at all levels of catering services at the local level should do a good job in the daily supervision of food safety in catering services in tourist areas and strictly implement permits in accordance with the law; intensify routine supervision and inspection of catering service providers in scenic spots, especially Strengthen the supervision and inspection during the peak period of tourism; supervise catering service providers to establish health management files of employees, implement the annual health inspection system of employees, strictly implement the system of stock inspection, cable verification, and account recording; regulate food processing and catering utensils Cleaning and disinfecting; earnestly strengthen the management of catering service environment; do a good job in preventing rats, preventing flies, pest control, and kitchen wastes; actively promote healthy diets such as meal and chopsticks.

The Opinions stressed that the catering service supervision departments at all levels must establish and improve food safety credit files for catering service providers, and increase the frequency of supervision and inspection of bad credit records; it is necessary to strictly inspect food safety violations of catering services in tourist attractions, and the nature of the Cases with severe and serious consequences will be given greater penalties; those suspected of committing crimes shall be transferred to the judicial organs in a timely manner.
