China Super America becomes the largest buyer of Turkish marble exports

On April 3, Daily News reported that Cetinkaya, president of Temel, a major supplier of Turkish marble, said that China has surpassed the US to become the largest buyer of Turkish marble exports. 80% of the company's marble exports are sold to China, and 40% of all Turkish marble exports are sold to China. Since the global financial crisis in 2008, the United States, the largest exporter of Turkish marble exports, has gradually given way to China. At present, all major quarries in the country are producing horsepower to supply the Chinese market. It is reported that more than 100 species of Turkish marble have been discovered, with reserves of 5 billion cubic meters and 14 billion tons, accounting for 40% of the world, and the number of varieties ranks first in the world. About 2,200 marble mines and 1,600 quarries? In 2012, the industry's output value was 5 billion US dollars, and exports were 2 billion US dollars. At the beginning of this year, Turkey's Bursa province found reserves of 900 million tons of marble deposits, with an estimated total value of more than 105 billion US dollars.
