"Classification of combustion performance of building materials and products" officially released

The National Fire Protection Standardization Technical Committee fireproof materials subcommittee centralized management, the Ministry of Public Security Sichuan Fire Research Institute is responsible for the revision of the mandatory national standard GB8624-2012 "comprehensive combustion performance of building materials and products", has been officially released by the National Standardization Management Committee, 2013 It will be implemented on October 1st.

This standard replaces the original standard GB 8624-2006 "Classification of combustion performance of building materials and products." Mainly revised the classification and classification criteria of combustion performance levels; Increased the combustion performance rating of specific use products; Modified additional information and combustion performance level identification and other content. The promulgation and implementation of this standard will play an important role in improving the fire safety of building materials and products in practical engineering applications, reducing the potential for fire hazards, and regulating the production and supervision of the supervision departments. At the same time, the recommended national standard GB/T29416-2012 "Test method for fire performance of exterior wall insulation systems for buildings" was also issued.

In order to ensure the effective implementation of GB8624-2012 and to strengthen understanding of GB/T29416-2012, the fire protection performance of construction materials and products applied in practical projects is in compliance with the requirements of the standard, and the National Fire Protection Standardization Technical Committee Fireproof Material Subcommittee will The National Fireproofing Material Inspection Center recently organized the GB8624-2012 “Combustion Performance Classification of Building Materials and Products” standard public meeting and GB/T29416-2012 “Fireproof Performance Test Method for External Exterior Insulation System of Buildings” standard seminar.
