Soilless cultured vegetables must be protected against root rot

Although soilless cultivated vegetables have high yield, high quality, are not affected by the season, occupy less land, can effectively use water, fertilizer, and easy control of pests and diseases, but root rot is more common due to the use of nutrient solution or nutrient soil. Prevention of root rot should pay attention to:

Improve the facilities The cultivation bed should be closed and higher than the ground, and the liquid storage area should be covered to prevent the invasion of bacteria in the environment. The drainage ditch of the matrix wall should be properly deepened, and the drainage should be kept unblocked to prevent the bacteria from returning to the cultivation bed with the waste liquid, resulting in repeated infection.

Seed Disinfection Seeds used for soilless culture must have the advantages of high germination rate, fast growth, and uniform emergence. Seed disinfection should be carried out before sowing. It can be immersed in warm soup or dry heat sterilization. It can also be soaked in 0.2% neutral calcium hypochlorite for 1 hour. It is best to use soilless cultivation of vegetable seedlings for soilless cultivation.

Disinfection of nutrient solution Apply one dose of edulis to the nutrient solution every month, in an amount of 20 mg per liter of nutrient solution, or 1 gram of zinc-manganese drug in 1000 liters of nutrient solution.
