This shows that the role played by large enterprises in economic and industrial restructuring is becoming more and more important. It also reflects the trend of the agrochemical market recovering slowly from the financial crisis.
From the top 100 list, we can see that the industrial concentration of the pesticide industry has greatly improved. The total sales revenue of the top 100 companies accounted for 52.7% of the country's total sales revenue; companies with sales of over 400 million yuan accounted for nearly half of the top 100 companies, reaching 48, 14 more than in 2009. Among them, 10 have sales of more than 1 billion yuan, sales accounted for 26% of the top 100 sales, and 25 of 500 million to 1 billion yuan accounted for 35% of the top 100 sales. There was no significant change in the development of the pesticide industry. The three provinces with strong traditional pesticides are still Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shandong. There are a total of 74 pesticide companies in the top 100 companies in the 3 provinces, which is close to 3/4 of the total.
Among the top 100 companies, there are 81 companies that mainly manufacture medicines, and 19 companies that mainly manufacture products. Among them, 21 of the top 100 companies belong to listed companies, showing that although listed companies are affected by factors such as extreme weather, rising production costs, and increased pressure on environmental protection, their profitability has declined, but they still have their own market and brand advantages.
It is understood that the final list will be announced at the 11th National Pesticide Exchange Conference to be held in Shanghai in October. The Technology Innovation Award, Market Development Award, and Responsible Care Excellence Enterprise Award will also be announced.
