China's Paper and Cardboard Imports Increased by 8.7% MoM in November

According to the latest data from China Customs, from January to November 2010, China's cumulative import of paper and paperboard reached 3.03 million tons, an increase of 1.4% over the same period of last year (the number of imported paper and paperboard from January to November 2009 was 2.99 million tons); During the period, the total amount of paper and paperboard imported by China totaled US$3,358,921, which was an increase of 19.3% compared with the same period last year (from January to November 2009, the amount of imported paper and paperboard was US$2,816,426).

During November 2010, the volume of imports rose this month. The international pulp price stopped rising, basically stabilizing, and the import cost decreased. During the period, China imported a total of 250,000 tons of paper and paperboard, an increase of 8.7% from the previous month (230,000 tons in October 2010). In November, the total amount of imported paper and paperboard was 309,636 thousand US dollars, compared with the previous month ( In October 2010, it was US$268,341,000. This represented an increase of 15.39% compared to the previous quarter.
