China's first large field anti-pinch magnetic confinement fusion experimental device enters normal operation

Recently, China's first large-scale anti-field hoop magnetic confinement fusion experimental apparatus (KTX, referred to as “HKUST”) was installed and debugged at China University of Science and Technology and entered normal operation. The device has an overall diameter of 8 meters, a magnetic field of 7,000 gauss, a plasma current of 1 megaampere, an electron temperature of 6 million degrees, and a discharge time of 100 milliseconds.

The function of the Swing Motor is to engage with the large gear ring of the rotary support and drive the boarding system to rotate so that the whole working device can work within 360 degrees.
